Greetings, and welcome to my website. I am Carol Stover, a professional makeup artist and photo stylist based in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area. For almost 30 years I have been privileged to work all over the country as a key makeup artist for Television, Video, Film, Print, and Events such as Weddings and Bat Mitzvahs.
I have been an artist since childhood, which I believe gives me the ability to see each person as unique and beautiful even before I start. My approach to makeup is detailed and creative, bringing out the true inner spirit of my subject and connecting it to the purpose of the project at hand.
Clients include men and women of all ages and every ethnicity, and I am a specialist in African-American and Asian types. My signature style is a “clean beauty” look that’s natural and polished with a touch of glamour, although I am comfortable and experienced with all styles of makeup work. My areas of specialty include Fashion & Beauty, Editorial, Commercial, Corporate, Character, Bridal, Period Looks, and Fantasy.
I also hold workshops on makeup, anti-aging skin care and personal style, as well as give personalized instruction in “camera-ready” makeup for models, performers, and members of the news media.
