Give Yourself a Spring Glow with Highlighter!
by Carol Stover on 04/06/12
For fabulous cheekbones and skin that glows, try one of the new makeup Highlighters and this special makeup technique:
After foundation, apply a tiny amount of Highlighter in a row of dots along both cheekbones, and just above the peak of each eyebrow. Pat in gently to blend. If you'd like to have a sharper jawline, repeat this along your entire jaw and blend. To slim your nose, carefully draw a thin highlighter line down the center, and pat in to blend.
Finish your makeup as usual. As light touches your face, every way you turn, you'll have a soft, gorgeous glow that brings out your features and makes you look fresh and youthful all day.

Your skin doesn't end at your Chin!
by Carol Stover on 02/01/12
One of the first places on a woman's body to show age is her neck and upper chest. To keep this delicate spot soft and smooth, always use your good facial skincare products down to your decollete' area. That includes cleanser, toner, serum and moisturizer!

Do you use Toner on your skin?
by Carol Stover on 08/02/11
Personally, I love toner -- use it twice daily after cleansing.
Toner is a pH regulator, so it's essential for closing pores, removing last
traces of dirt & cleanser, and putting skin back into its "happy
place"! But you've got to use one that doesn't contain solvent alcohols,
which dry the skin and contribute to scarring on damaged skin. You will also
get more mileage out of your moisturizer if you are using a well made toner,
because skin absorbs moisture more effectively when it is at its correct pH
(between 5.5 and 6.5). Drier skins need more of a skin freshener rather than a
toner (designed for normal to oilier skin). Look for high-quality toners with
no added color or perfume, no SD Alcohol 40, and no feeling of tightness after
applying.
